The slouch beanies by Penelope Durston are made from angora (40%) and lambswool (60%) yarn specially spun for in New Zealand. The yarn is spun in the natural cream colour of the fibre and once knitted hand dyed in small batches. The beanies are a soft and slouchy style that fits a wide range of heads and styles and is very flattering and comfy on. They have knitted with a Japanese lycra yarn to give it stretch and return and to stop it from going too floppy.
The beanies have not been washed to their full fluff and this will develop with wear and washing. Please be aware that as with most pieces with a fluffy pile this will gradually wear away or pill with use. This is a natural characteristic of both lambswool and angora fibres. Don’t view this as a fault but as a metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life.
